AGC Asahi Glass (Japan)

“Amorphous”

The project entitled “Amorphous”, intends to redefine the traditional image of glass, taking inspiration from an “amorphous” molecular structure without a definite shape. About 5,000 pieces of thin, chemically strengthened glass create an airy space in which to experience the “amorphous” nature of glass, welcoming the viewer into a molecular structure enlarged a billion times. Mirages of light combined with a multitude of reflections will tantalize the eyes and immerse the viewer in the complex inner, microcosm of glass, not naturally perceptible by the ‘naked eye’. In this ‘game of light’, the glass will acquire colors and different shades through movement and interplays of light, and the viewer, reflected in the glassy surfaces, will admire the special effects appearing in the background.
