ART PATHS

An art itinerary, among installations and works, is an alternative way to visit the event.

In the garden at the entrance, the first encounter with art takes place with the monumental sculptures in corten steel by Flavio Lucchini, opening a path that ends at the FLA, Flavio Lucchini Art Museum, the artist’s atelier for thirty years. During the Salone and beyond, the exhibition “Preview. My Memories”, the master’s most recent series, paintings that reproduce the faces of women he has met in his life, in colour, black and white, exhibited together with the Rubelli Casa armchairs he painted for the “Vision 47” project by Studio Nava + Arosio.

Then you can take a leap to the roof, one of the first urban gardens in the neighborhood, where a version of the iconic Third Paradise by Michelangelo Pistoletto is permanently on display. The artist will be present in person on Friday 21 at 4 pm to present his book “The formula of creation” in a dialogue with journalist and writer Federico Taddia. For the occasion of the Design Week, the work is accompanied by the modular, colorful “Enjoy” seats by Adriana Lohmann by SLIDE.

Also by SLIDE Cosmo Bunny and Bunny, bunny seats which are artistic sculptures created in polyethylene and through rotational molding, by the artist Aki Kuroda; and Big Kroko, and the original outdoor polyethylene sofa from the Afrika series, designed by Marcantonio for SLIDE, an outdoor lounge chair, a work that winks at the sculpture made with a bioplastic deriving from sugar cane refining .

And again, the large Optical sculpture by Flavio Lucchini, the first photographic exhibition “Mirror” by the very young photographer Angelica Cantù Rajnoldi with ten young female designers, including Sara Ricciardi. And another photographer, Giangiacomo Rocco di Torrepadula, who presents the book published by Skira “A postcard for Floyd”. The steel artists who preside over the space of the NichelcromLab company, among this year’s exhibitors, Michele D’Agostino and Leblon Delienne. Or those of ceramics such as Alberto Gianfreda who, with the “Italia” panel, evokes the Italian regions and craftsmanship with the fragments of handcrafted vases.

Music is also art with the performance of the jazz singer Angelica McGlynn in the “Soundspline” acoustic island designed by GN Architetti + Phononic Vibes.
