SLIDE (Italy)
SLIDE presents a “laboratory of ideas” created by Giò Colonna Romano. The designer, who is already author of many successful SLIDE products, focused on the realization of different lighting products lines by proposing, thanks to the project Light&POP, almost 50 new prototypes. These new models use an innovative dimmerable LED technology, raw materials and production process which are completely different from those used to create SLIDE collections (polyethylene and rotational moulding).
The leading themes of the project are light and POP philosophy, already experimented in the furniture field. Among the new proposals, we can find: a collection of hanging dome lamps made in fiberglass, with different colours and dimensions; a POP lamps line with distinctive features, as a tribute to Memphis Group, characterized by bright colours and geometrical shapes and made in aluminium thanks to a spin-forming machine; a new collection of floor hanging lamps realized with acrylic tubes; finally, a complete range of technical steel-plate lamps.
All these collections, which are highly innovative from many points of view, will be shown with the aim of completing the offer of lighting products, going ahead with the philosophy of the “furnishing light”, which has always distinguished SLIDE products collection.
