Cultureland Germany: a Design Journey is a multimedia experience celebrating German design as a cultural expression and a driver of innovation. Organized by the German National Tourist Board, the exhibition takes visitors on a journey through Germany’s key design destinations and figures: from the historic cradles of the Bauhaus movement, namely Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt – where this year Dessau celebrates the 100th anniversary of the school – to contemporary design companies and entities, such as TECTA and bayern design.
Through a combination of multimedia installations and iconic objects, the exhibition showcases the evolution of German design, featuring historical pieces such as the renowned Bauhaus cradle by Peter Keler, alongside the latest reinterpretations of TECTA. The interactive journey, blending digital storytelling and tangible design, creates a dedicated Germany hub, inviting visitors to explore German design in an innovative and engaging way.
