Hope

Hope interprets the theme of happiness through an immersive installation, a journey that takes the visitor through three environments and three states of mind. Since there is no joy without sadness, no pleasure without pain, no courage without fear, no certainty without doubt, and no appreciation of the value of companionship without the experience of solitude, the first environment, Room of Shadow, is immersed in darkness and chaos.

It is a hostile, nebulous place made up of rough surfaces, angular shapes, fragments scattered like rubble on the floor, figures bent and crumpled in on themselves. Only after a few steps do we see a ray of light cutting through the rock: a passageway, a way out, a hope: in the Room of Hope, the visitor is immersed in a bright, ordered environment made up of soft, welcoming shapes, clear materials and smooth surfaces.

It is a space for reflection, exchange and dialogue. It is a space for sharing, listening and mutual understanding. It is only at the end of this room that you reach the final stage, the Corridor of Bloom, a linear path characterised by an explosion of colour and life that surrounds the visitor on all sides. A seemingly endless stone walkway, a vault of flowers, leads to the exit.
