Wonder Matter(s)
A diffuse environment conceived as a playground where to discover and experiment with innovative and interesting materials. This is Wonder Matter(s), the new exhibition with which Materially, social enterprise that helps companies in the development and dissemination of innovation and sustainability, arouses wonder as if it was a superpower.
A sensorial and narrative journey among materials with unexpected technical, aesthetic, and environmental performances accompanies visitors. Resins, leather, wood polymers, metals, mycelium, flora become all tools of knowledge and play in the Manifacture Playground, one of the two areas of the exhibition.
Next to it, there is an info point where exhibiting companies, excellence in the panorama of material innovation, explore the materials and their use. They are Alisea S.r.l. Società Benefit, Asahi Kasei, Coffeefrom, Conceria Nuvolari Società Benefit, Covestro, Digital Design, Mille997, Mogu, OLTREMATERIA®, Organoid® by Piva, Specchiopiuma, Tarkett, The Good Plastic Company.
A design-driven and responsible approach toward materials has distinguished Materially over the years. As a testimony of that, Wonder Matter(s) presents samples results of the Intrecci project, a workshop experience that involved students of the School of Artistic Design for Business of the Brera Academy of Arts, who used cellulose acetate threads from Materially’s installation from the 2022 Milano Design Week, donated to the Academy.
The talk The new good polymers – Present and future of virtuous plastic in the Sala Lounge on Wednesday 19, 2.30-4.00 pm will be dedicated to the state of the art in the polymer industry. It will see the participation of Covestro, Asahi Kasei, The Good Plastic Company.
