Inside Matter
Poliuretano è proposes Inside Matter, an installation conceived as five islands where the visitor can sit, lie down, and interact with to experience various levels of comfort, each linked to different types of flexible polyurethane foam. Better known as sponge rubber, this material has become a huge hit in interior design for its exceptional qualities: it does not get easily distorted or damaged, it is durable and ductile, therefore it is ideal for being cut, and can be used in a number of almost infinite shapes. However, polyurethane is treated in a way that gives its surfaces a unique feature: they are shaped so as to create several textures which, combined with different colors, enhance the potential offered by the material.
